Air New Zealand
Air New Zealand is an international and domestic airline group which provides air passenger and cargo transport services within New Zealand, as well as to and from Australia, the South West Pacific, Asia, North America and the United Kingdom. Their aircrafts vary in size from the Beech 1900D to the Boeing 747-400. Air New Zealand continues to strive for luxury and best-in-class recognition for the long-haul flights. In 2010, Air New Zealand was voted Favorite Long-Haul Leisure Airline in the Condé Nast Traveller Reader's Awards and was also voted Best in Style for their Premium Economy Seats by the Wallpaper Design Awards in 2011. This year, the airline has won the Aviation category in Conde Nast Traveller’s 2011 Innovation and Design Awards for their Skycouch design, a trio of three Economy seats that together create a flexible space for whatever you want it to be - like having your very own couch on the plane. |

Headquartered in California and launched in August 2007, Virgin America is one of the fastest growing new U.S. airlines of all time and currently employs over 1700 people. The airline’s base of operations is San Francisco International Airport’s International Terminal. The airline's new aircraft offer WiFi, interactive in-flight entertainment systems and power outlets near every seat for electronic gear. In addition to a Main Cabin that offers custom-designed leather seats with a deeper, more comfortable pitch, the airline's First Class offers plush white leather seats with 55 inches of pitch, 165 degrees of recline and lumbar massagers. The carrier's Main Cabin Select option offers 38-inches of pitch, free food and cocktails, an all-access pass to the Red system’s countless media options, dedicated overhead bins and priority check-in/boarding. In just three years flying, Virgin America was named “Best Domestic Airline” in the Condé Nast Traveler 2008, 2009 and 2010 Readers’ Choice Awards and "Best Domestic Airline" in Travel + Leisure’s 2008, 2009 and 2010 World's Best Awards. |
